Little Girls and Showers

Honeydew's second baby shower was held this past Saturday at First Presbyterian in Somerville.  We had a great time!  There were about 30 people there, so it was a bit smaller than the last one, and there were 4 little girls there that I had taught for the last three years in Sunday School, Children's Church, and Wednesday night activities.  These four girls passed the presents to me and they were just adorable.  They picked out the bags they thought looked most interesting, and each of them would stand and watch me open it and make guesses about what was inside, or ooooh and ahhhh over the outfits or toys that our Honeydew got.  It was so fun to see their excitement, and made me even more eager to meet our little girl and have those kinds of experiences with her in the future.

We have so many adorable little outfits now, and I'm excited that we will start working on the nursery this weekend.  Once we get the room painted and the furniture arranged I'll probably start washing and separating clothes.  We have bins and bins of clothes!

This past weekend was my last weekend I'm allowed to travel.  On this upcoming Wednesday, when I reach 34 weeks, I'm no longer allowed to travel more than an hour away from Nashville, per Dr. Kyzer.  So it was nice to have a last hurrah in Memphis, and weird to think that the next time I go to Memphis Honeydew will be in the backseat instead of my tummy.

My mom and grandmother (Memmaw) made these pillows for Honeydew.

They were all so excited about the biggest present, so I let them open it:

Plus, then I didn't have to bend over to open it myself!

It was a really nice event, and it's still so amazing to me how many people are anticipating the birth of our baby girl!
