It Spoils My Mood

We have been doing a whole lot of eating at home. during this pandemic.  In fact, I have cooked every meal since March 13th, except for an occasional fast food meal when we have gone to the Safari Park.  One day this week, I cooked chicken legs and was trying to bake them in the oven and still end up with crispy skin.  They were decent, but Evie said, "Mama, can you remove the skin from mine?  It spoils my mood."  What a funny thing to say!

We have been trying to get some school work done daily, but I also try to make sure that we're not just doing online learning or worksheets.  Evie got this logic puzzle game, where the board is set up in a certain configuration and you have to get the bunnies to jump over the foxes and mushrooms and into the burrows.  She does really well with it, and is so proud when she gets them right.

This week we also planted some sunflower seeds and did some other gardening.

Our corgi, Edison, who is only a year a few months old, has had to have some surgeries for his eyes lately.  Evie has been very attentive and consoling him while he recovers.  She has recently decided she wants to become a vet when she grows up.
