Flower Girl

Another week of pandemic, another week of stay-at-home order.  Seth is still working at the branch and I'm still working from home, but we're finding ways to entertain ourselves in the evenings since we can't go out to events.  One of our new activities is a card game where you work collectively to fight off the monsters.  Evie was able to pick this up quickly (impressively because it's fairly complicated) and helped us win a few campaings.

We've also watched a few new movies.  Here, Evie is demonstrating how she feels about scenes where the characters are being socially awkward.  She really has a hard time with it and often leaves the room.  I tried last year to show her my favorite childhood movie, Anne of Green Gables, which is basically nothing but the main character being socially awkward and she just couldn't stand it.

On May 8, we were supposed to be headed to Alabama for my cousin's wedding and Evie was going to be the flower girl.  Unfortunately, with this pandemic, my cousin and his bride-to-be had to change their plans and they ended up moving it to today.  Evie wanted to still get to be a flower girl, so we all dressed up and went outside to take pictures.  Evie collected some rose petals that had fallen from our neighbor's rose bush and did her job beautifully.
