Evie's 45th Week

This week was a little rough for Evie due to a persistent virus that kept her fever up.  She started out the weekend with a fever of 100.9 and it stayed there until Monday morning when I took her to the pediatrician.  I was afraid that she had an ear infection because she would occasionally stick a finger i her ear or touch the side of her head, but fortunately, no infection.  By Tuesday she'd been fever-free for 24 hours and today she seems to be in a much better mood with only some nasal congestion remaining.

My favorite thing that she's doing lately is crawling with bravado.  She sees something she wants and makes her way over there like lightening... very loud lightening because she has to apply a lot of pressure to get any traction on our wood flooring.  You always know when Evie's headed your way.

She's also become quite chatty lately.  She enjoys talking to her toys, as you can see here:

A few days ago I had given her a bath just before bedtime and the wet hair + bedtime yielded her new cool punk rock 'do:

She's also trying lots of new table food, including chicken, hashbrowns, oranges, and even asparagus.  She loved the asparagus we had last night.  It's so fun to see her try new foods because she picks up the bites and studies the food for a while, very intently, before forcefully cramming the handful into her mouth.  It's pretty adorable.  Like everything she does.
