Here's Evie and Shelby, a friend from CBU
Evie and Rhiannon
Evie enjoying talking to Memmaw
And napping with Grandma Jeanne
And waiting for lunch with Dad on Sunday after church.
Evie impressed us on Monday night with her first ever giggles. I had her napping in my arms while we played a card game and all of a sudden, she starts laughing. She let out a few good chuckles and then went back to sleep. It was so precious. She did it again this morning, but only 2 laughs that time. However, this morning she woke up at 5, so I fed her and then tried to get her back to sleep, but no go. So we turned the light out on her and she just laid there for 30 minutes talking to herself. She was babbling away, making all kinds of new sounds. Such an adorable kiddo!
Here's some video from last night before she went to sleep for the night, somewhat talking. But it was nothing like the talking she was doing this morning.
Evie is also (probably) teething. We have yet to see any redness around her gums or signs of a tooth trying to break through, but she is drooling like crazy and munching pretty hard on her hands and toys. So we introduced a teether, which was given to her straight out of the freezer. Here's what she thought about that:
Once the drooling starts, it won't stop for a while! Nyla started drooling maybe 2 months before her first teeth actually broke through. Naomi, on the other hand, already has her one-year molars through (at least the four points), and she hasn't drooled much.
