Halloween

 The big event of this week, of course, was Halloween.  Evie's costume this year is the Captain Red costume she bought at Walt Disney World.  On Sunday, we had our Fall Festival at church and Evie tried wearing some shoes from the depths of her closet, but it turns out they were about 2 sizes too small and she had to kick them off after about an hour.  Fortunately no one seemed to care that she went around barefoot.

Halloween night, Granna and Grannadaddy came over to see Evie's costume on their way to dinner with friends.  Then we headed out just after sundown and hit up our usual spots.  Matt happened to pull into our driveway just as we were leaving the neighbor's house so he joined us for trick or treating.  After about an hour of trick-or-treating, Eve was ready to call it a night so we came home and had sausage/pumpkin roll ups and all the candy we could stand.
