We had dinner in celebration of my grandmother's 88th birthday and Evie made her a sweet card for the occasion, with all her own message and spelling. She's getting to be pretty good at writing now.
She's also been doing Legos lately. She was bored Sunday night and wanted something new to do so we broke into her new Legos she got for Christmas and after I showed her that the booklet shows you which pieces you need and how they go together, she was a Lego assembling machine!
Speaking of machines, she amused me the other day by putting a variety of toys and other objects together in her room in a round about way, declaring it was a machine that would enable you to open and close the door. It kind of looked like Rube Goldberg creation.
Evie's been super into playing board games lately, which is wonderful because Seth and I both love board games too. Here's Evie's first game of Monopoly. We had to stop part way through because it was taking a long time, but she got the idea.
