Here's Evie with her Grampa

It was difficult to leave Oregon after seeing how much the family was taken with Evie, but we didn't have a choice since our plane was leaving. Evie did pretty well on the plane, though the second flight was rough. The guy who was sitting in front of me and Evie was insistent on reclining his seat all the way back and would occasionally push back on it even more, so Evie and I didn't have much room. But, thank goodness, it didn't last too long, and we were home for a quick 15 hours before we left for Memphis.
My brother, sister-in-law, niece, and nephew had driven in Friday night, so when we arrived on Saturday, we were greeted by all of them, plus Granna and Grannadaddy. We had dinner and Evie enjoyed seeing her cousins, and Evie and Will even played together a little - as much as a 6 month old and a 20 month old can play together.
Sunday we decorated the tree, and Evie enjoyed looking at the lights and the ornaments.
On Christmas Eve, my aunt Kristy and her family came over, so we had a house full of little ones. Evie enjoyed looking at Lydia and Lydia's new babydoll, which she named Evie.
Here's Kristy holding Evie, with Aiden in the back, Addie, and Lydia holding her baby Evie
And here's Evie, passed out from all the excitement.
That evening, my parents, Ryan, Aimee, Addie, Will, and the three of us lit the Christ candle at the Christmas Eve service. It was nice to all be together to do that, and we enjoyed dinner with Grandma Jeanne, Uncle Ricky, Aunt Kathy, and Tia (my cousin Olivia) afterwards.

Christmas was a whirlwind day, with presents at Granna and Grannadaddy's house, then at my dad's family's side, then my mom's family's.

We had a good Christmas, and I think Evie enjoyed herself most of the time. She, along with the rest of the house, got a cold starting Christmas night and has been a little nasally drippy since, but at least her first cold came with a wonderful first Christmas.
