It's official: Evie's done with 6th grade! It's been a crazy year - switching to middle school, meeting new friends, dealing with mean girls and inept teachers, getting pulled from school and doing homeschool instead... We've really seen her grow so much in the last 7 weeks she's been at home. She is doing 8th grade level math, wept over the ending to Where the Red Fern Grows, read high school level cellular biology, made slide decks for Roman wars, done field trips to science museums and the zoo, played chess, gotten a workout through jiu jitsu, learned some German, and generally gotten more mature and grown up.
Seventh grade will be very different from the last few years, and I think we are all excited for summer fun!
