We are entering the Peter Pan home stretch! This week, Evie's having tech and dress rehearsals, tomorrow they have preview night, and then they open on Friday. It's been an intense week and she's handled it very gracefully, balancing school with very late night rehearsals. It's been fun seeing her make up and hair for the show, and watching her experience a true tech rehearsal/dress rehearsal situation.
I asked her on Sunday what she felt she's learned from this experience, beyond just theatre. She said, that it's okay to make mistakes, because a lot of times, no one even knows you made a mistake, and even if you did - so what?! I was so happy to hear her say that.
