Cardboard City

We finally let Evie in on the big secret we've been keeping from her for while: we are going to Disneyland!  I've been thinking about this trip since our last trip to Disney, when we thought it would be really neat to be at Disney for Halloween, so that's what we're doing.  We'll be on the resort for a week and then go to visit friends and family in Orange County and Ventura County.

Evie has been getting more and more excited about it, asking to look at pictures from the last time we went, planning out which rides and characters she wants to see, etc.  We leave tomorrow!

Basically this week has been about getting everything ready to go.  Evie's had ballet, gymnastics, and theatre class, as her usual events.  Also school and a little homework each night.  I'm so glad her teacher only assigns her about 10 minutes of work.

Evie has also built a city out of cardboard boxes.  She wrote her address on it and designated certain sections for her cousins to live in.  I told her we would eventually have to throw them out and in response, she wrote "Evie's box is not gone" on all of them.

Here's her address.  Will lives in the lower left corner and Addie is on the second floor (can you make out their names?)

Inside the main house, she has a theatre, windows, and all kinds of furniture drawn on the walls.
