She is also very much enjoying the backyard. We didn't really let her explore too much of our backyard in Mt Juliet because it had a steep slope and she wasn't as steady on her feet. Now, though, she loves going down into the yard and playing with the dogs, picking up pine needles and cones. Seth even caught her running up and down the fence line right along with the dogs, barking like them at the neighbor's dogs.

2, 2, 2, 2
Evie is two years, two months, two weeks, and two days old today (I only know this because of the ticker at the top of the page). She is acting every bit the two year old. She has these crazy tantrums for reasons that seem petty or unreasonable, and the next moment she is stealing your heart by saying something adorable or looking sweet. One of those sweet moments this week was her interest in helping me cook. She helped me make muffins one morning. She put the muffin cups into the tin and then helped me stir the batter (and she said, "stuh, stuh, stuh" as she stirred). Then another afternoon before dinner she helped me make some ranch dressing. She was very careful and gentle, and really took a lot of pride in her work.
She is getting more adjusted to school and sleeping. We haven't had to use Mama Frog much this week, so that makes me feel like she is more secure on her own. It's been a hard adjustment for all of us, leaving Mt. Juliet, getting into a new house, still unpacking and settling in, school starting for all three of us... but when Evie enjoys playing in her new yard, or the new neighborhood playground, or gets a smile of delight several times a week because she sees Granna or Grannadaddy, it makes me so glad we are Memphians again.

Granna and Grannadaddy are glad you are all in Memphis again too! It makes me very happy when you come to our door or see me at church and run over with your cute little smile for a hug. You seem to enjoy our time together whether we are playing with the toys, or you are taking a bath, or we are watching Woof Woofs or now the Cats movie. I am glad we can be together more than when you and your Mama and DaDa came from Mount Juliet every 3 or 4 weeks!
