Annalisa's Visit

 Annalisa got to come to Memphis for a visit!!!!  She flew in Thursday morning and Seth and I went to pick her up while Evie was still at school.  Then we all went to get Evie when she got out of school and Evie and Annalisa had a very sweet reunion.

We went out to dinner Thursday night and Evie and Annalisa got all caught up and chit chatted.  Friday, we dropped Evie off at school and Granna picked her up to spend the night at her house while Seth, Annalisa, and I had dinner and saw a movie.  Saturday morning, we picked Evie up and she had ballet rehearsal for The Nutcracker - a 3 hour long rehearsal with the rest of the company, so she felt very grown up and important.

We picked her up from rehearsal and hung out, had dinner, and just enjoyed each other's company.  We went to dinner at an Indian place where Annalisa and Evie enjoyed sitting next to each other and cutting up.

Then Evie wanted to play cornhole.  I showed Annalisa our interpretation of cornhole, where one person stands next to a board and the other stands next to another board so that rather than throwing at the same board from the middle, you throw about double the distance.  Annalisa asked Evie, "Can you throw it that far?"  Evie threw the bean bag and it landed right in the hole, a perfect shot.   Annalisa looked stunned and then said,  "I fold!"

Sunday we went to church and then back to our house for more chatting and games.  Today we went to breakfast before dropping Evie off at school.  But we had to re-create this picture first.

It means so much to me to have my best friend come to visit and shower my little girl with so much love.
