Three weeks of virtual school down and I think we have found a rhythm. Evie has gotten very self-sufficient with turning on and off her camera and microphone, opening her virtual notebook to turn in assignments, and getting from one teacher's "channel" to another.
Sunday we went out for a ride/run around the neighborhood and Evie got to break in her new bike helmet.
Our week was otherwise normal. Normal now is that Evie gets up around 7, eats breakfast, eventually gets dressed and is sitting at her desk for school by 8 am. She has school until 3 pm, except that on Tuesdays she tends to get done early because they have an extra recess on Tuesday afternoons (I'm not sure why...). On Tuesdays, she goes to ballet for 2 hours and on Fridays she goes to tap for an hour. Starting next week on Thursdays she'll have virtual theatre class. Normal for me is working from home, and normal for Seth is now working from home too. I realized this week, we need a 3 bed, 2 bath, 3 office house!
Evie declared today a family day which meant no looking at screens and helping each other out. I interpreted this as her meaning she would be willing to fold and put away her own laundry. Apparently that's not what she had in mind.
We also met up with Matt, Cristal, Nathaniel, and Lydia at the zoo for a couple of hours. We were there a little after opening and had no problems getting in, but when we left, the line to come in was incredibly long. Most people were wearing masks and we were able to keep our distance from others.

At the zoo, waiting for our friends, Evie decided to buy a stuffed animal. She chose a red panda. We then learned that it was International Red Panda Day.
