More Snow!

Well, we have had two more snow days this week.  The snow and ice started on Wednesday night and continued through Thursday morning, so we were out of school yesterday and today.  Fortunately today the roads are getting better because we are heading out soon for Dallas to visit my brother and his family.  I think the last time I was there was in December of 2011 for my sister-in-law's mom's funeral.  Seth and I probably were last there together in June of 2011, when my nephew was old enough to accept visitors (i.e., 8 weeks old).  So our visit is long overdue and much anticipated.

Unlike the snows we've had so far this winter (which were actually more like ices), this snow is nice and powdery soft and easy to play in.  Evie and went out this morning and made snowballs, a mini snowman, and snow angels.  She loved it.

Checking out her snow tracks

I like to call this picture Evie's Mary Tyler Moore moment

She was fascinated by the snow sticking to her glove.

It's a big thing in my family any time it snows to make snow cream, which involves gathering untouched snow, adding sugar and milk, and turning it into fake ice cream.  I saw Facebook pictures from my Aunt Kristy's family having their snow cream in Atlanta, and my cousin Daniel's family having their snow cream just a few miles away from us in Bartlett, so of course, our family had snow cream too.

Evie was a happy camper!
